The only ship in the world, people used to get scared by the sound of which, the ground staff used to cover their ears with blankets, but…

There are many such jets in the world, which make a lot of noise. Whose voice may sound deafening to you. But today we are going to tell you about a ship whose sound was so loud that people used to tremble. When it started, even the ground staff was forced to cover their ears with blankets. In fact, its sound was never recorded at any decibel, because there was a fear that the measuring instrument might break.

In 1955, the US Air Force developed two planes named XF-84H. Republic Aviation made it. Turboprop engine was installed in the aircraft. Because such an engine has large fans and is capable of removing large amounts of air. This gives a lot of power to the aircraft at low speeds. It can take off quickly and land quickly too. This turbine engine had three steel blades, which were 12 feet long. In a way, they used to move at supersonic speed. Their movement produced such a loud sound that it could be heard even from a distance of 40 kilometers. The wind emanating from them was so powerful that it could blow an ordinary man like a straw.

Hearing the sound, my arms and legs began to waver.
This has been described in detail in Air and Space Magazine. It is written that one day the crew took it to Edwards Air Force Base in California for a test run. Henry Baird, who was part of the team that flew it, says, we tied it next to a taxiway. When it was fired, the crew chief fainted after hearing its sound. He lay down on his back on the floor. His hands and legs were wavering. He was so scared that his ears became numb. Nothing was heard.

It is also known as “Thunderscreech”.
Baird, now 78, says it wasn’t really that bad, but if you got into the plane and started it up, it would knock you down. Because of the terrible sound it makes, this plane is also called “Thunderscreech”. Thunderscreech’s engine ran at full speed at all times, and the propeller rotated at 2,100 rpm from startup to shutdown. But the noise was terrible.

May the sound not break the tower’s windows
Another crew member says that we were afraid that the shockwave emanating from the propeller might break the windows of the control tower located about a mile away from the runway. When it took off, traffic controllers would come down with their radios. Used to cover himself with blanket. Because they were afraid that it might hurt them. Baird said it never actually recorded any decibels, but there was a fear that the measuring device might break. Later this aircraft was destroyed because it was not considered fit for any use.
